MILEX and Wallace Pessaries

Pessaries for Incontinence and Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Pessaries are a non-surgical solution for the management of pelvic organ prolapse and stress incontinence. The pessary was designed as first-line therapy to reposition the prolapsed organs and/or control the timing of urine flow, thus improving quality of life.

Pessaries also provide the opportunity to assess which surgical approach, if any, will improve the patient’s condition before going to a surgical solution.

The MILEX Pessaries

The MILEX pessary is a removable silicone device designed to manage prolapse and incontinence. MILEX silicone pessaries come in a wide variety of configurations to provide the optimal fit for your patients’ needs. The device is inexpensive and easily managed by your patients.

The Wallace Ring Pessaries

The Wallace ring pessary is a removable PVC device designed to ease uterine prolapse and other uterine displacements, by adding support to the vaginal wall. It helps prevent the uterus from descending, relieving pressure on the bladder and bowel and removing the distress caused by the discomfort of the uterus lying in the vagina.

Insertion and removal of Wallace pessaries should only be performed by a doctor or a nurse practitioner, and they are available in a wide range of sizes to suit all patients.
