4Rhino Rhinomanometry

High-resolution 4-phase Rhinomanometry

4Rhino is a new way to depict the relation between flow and differential pressure of the nasal air stream. By adopting digital measurement techniques, high-resolution 4-phase rhinomanometry represents a scientific and technical advancement on “classical” computerised rhinomanometry.

The 4Rhino will help you measure and visualise the four phases of the entire breathing cycle, pre and post-operatively, to assess:

  • Obstruction and allergies
  • Septum deviation
  • Nasal valve collapse

The 4RHINO advantage¹

The 4RHINO creates a realistic representation of the entire breathing cycle based on 3,000 individual measurements using digital airflow sensors. This replaces the rough estimation of airflow at a few points, with exact measurements.

4Rhino Rhinomanometry_Classification

  • High correlation between the measured values of airflow and pressure and your patients’ subjective feeling of nasal obstruction.
  • Nasal obstruction classification is clinically validated through the analysis of 36,563 cases¹.
  • 4RHINO’s high resolution sensors allow for airflow measurement of patients suffering from chronic obstruction.
  • The impact of the nasal valve is graphically displayed and results are not falsified by the use of foam profiles, which inhibit the elasticity of the nasal valve and change the position of the septum.
  • The system only requires calibration if moved between sites.
  • 4RHINO’s software is user-friendly and compatible with Windows and MacOS.
