The Memokath stent is a simple and reliable Nickel-Titanium stent with thermal shape-memory effect for treating urinary tract obstructions.
Memokath has a wide range of stents for placement in different areas of the urinary tract in both men and women.
The Memokath 028 Prostate stent is used for long-term treatment of patients with prostatic obstruction and enlargement, the treatment is quick, can be performed with a flexible or rigid endoscope and requires only a local anaesthetic gel which makes it suitable for day case treatment.
Few and only minor side-effects occur upon insertion and the stent does not interfere with normal bladder control.
Indications: Urinary tract obstruction due to benign or malignant prostatic enlargement.
The Memokath 044 Urethral Stent is used for the temporary treatment of patients with recurrent strictures of the bulba urethra. The 045 Urethral stent is indicated for treatment of patients with recurrent strictures in the penile urethra.
The stent is designed to remain endo-luminal in the urethra long enough to allow complete urothelial re-growth and stabilisation of the urethral lumen in the previously strictured area, and the urethral lumen remains patent after removal of the Memokath.
Indications: Urethral strictures bulbar (044), urethral stricutures penile (045), bladder neck stricutures (045), Detrusor-Sphincter-Dyssynergia (045).
The Memokath 051 Ureter stent is used for the treatment of malignant or benign ureteric strictures in both men and women. The treatment does not require frequent stent changes, side effects are few and symptom relief is immediate.
Indications: Malignant or benign urethral strictures.
